The house is currently used as rural hotel, therefore being perfectly maintained. However it can be easily used as a private family residence.
The house includes a big living room, with traditional chimney, elevator and a nice garten very well maintained.
The house was originally built by local aristocratic family. The rehabilitation made in 2002 was complete and considered all necessary facilities for a high standard modern hotel. The original style and material were fully respected and completed with numerous pieces of local artists.
The property is located in a lovely, small and traditional village called Hermosa (“beauty”), very close to the city of Santander located in the green coast of North Spain. The northern regions of Spain are the less spoiled by visitors and industry and also less demanded by the massive “low level” tourism. However the north of Spain keeps a great number of jewels of the country: amazing landscapes and charming beaches, friendly peoples and nature preserves.
Besides its appeal as a holiday resort, the city is becoming an important centre for congresses and conferences (mainly promoted by the worldwide Banco de Santander). Additionally, the whole region of Cantabria has a wide range of opportunities and excursions for exploring the nature, with beautiful mountains, prehistoric and historic sites, sky resorts, beautiful villages and world heritage sites.
The international airport is only 15 minutes from the house. The most beautiful beaches are also very close to the property.
The whole area is extremely save and estable and with no sort of robberies or other kind of troubles.

The building is typical of the large country houses to be found in this part of mountainous northern Spain, and has been tastefully remodelled by its owners retaining the very best of local architectural detail.
There are nine guest rooms in the hotel, each with its own bathroom, two with jacuzzi and one boasting its own cosy living room area. Whilst a lift provides easy access to all floors, throughout the entire hotel, tradition and comfort have been tastefully combined to ensure our guests a restful and enjoyable stay.

Geographically to the south of the bay of Santander, the nearby towns of Solares and Liérganes are famous for their mineral and thermal spa waters, whilst the smaller villages offer fine and unspoiled examples of the local style of architecture. The area is famous too for the grand houses built by ‘Los Indianos’ who left Spain for the Americas to return and build impressive homes in Cantabria. On hand is the Nature Reserve of Cabárceno and within easy reach are the prehistoric caves of Altamira and the awe-inspiring Picos de Europa. This is an area full of places of interest and things to see and do!
